It was midday, the sun was high, the pavement was blazing hot, and Damian Queens had found himself with nothing to occupy his time. He considered going to the pub and drinking a bit of that deliciously warm liquid the humans always had, but he decided he had better things to do than to fog his mind. He stood in the shade of an awning that was overhanging a storefront, his feet resting on the cobbled sidewalk in London. Not many humans were out at this hour; It was simply much too hot out for that. Damian could feel the suffocating heat even in the shade, and felt that he preferred not to think too deeply, for it would be impossible to organize the mind in this atrocious weather.
It wasn't that he disliked Summer. Oh no, not at all. It was simply that he would have much enjoyed relaxing in the bookstore at this hour, inhaling the scent of weathered paper whilst mulling over some mundane yet troubling problem. However, that was not to be so, as the bookkeeper Mr. Horn was ill this day and had to leave the shop closed. After standing for several more minutes, Damian made the decision to visit the courthouse. Perhaps a case of interest to him was being tried today that he could investigate for his own pleasure. Of course, there would be no chance of him actually having an impact on the case; They were humans, after all. But it wouldn't hurt to at least venture a look.
A few blocks of walking later, with his pads feeling thoroughly scorched, Damian was able to trot up the steps of the courthouse and have a look inside. Empty. He cursed in his head, frustrated. Why must there be nothing to do on such a monotonous day as this? He wished the ominous clouds approaching from the East would break in a tremendous flood of a storm, so as to cool the air, but his wishes were in vain. The clouds barely moved as there was no wind, and they didn't seem to give any sign whatsoever of a downpour. Again, Damian Queens found himself with nothing to do.

days like these sent females on the edge. it was the fact that she was ending her heat at the moment, it was the fact that it was blazing hot. it was the fact that she really had the urge to meet a male and then take him in a secluded area and fuck him. haha - forget the last part, you didn't need to hear that. but, it was her intention and she believed that she could make anything happen. and she really could. the main street was packed with humans, here and there. many 'ooh-ing' an ahh-ing' over her small and thin body while she passed them with disgust. she knew she was amazing, but really? attention from humans was the last thing she needed. humans were below her, as many animals and canines were.
the scent of a male drove her over the edge as she threw her tail under her rump, trying to resist the urge to run over to the canine and be for a quickie. but what was the worry, she should just ignore the scent and move on, did she really want to get pregnant? no, that was the last thing she really wanted. she could already see the image, standing in front of a store staring at her swollen belly while the scent of milk flooded her nose. it was gross. it was cruelty. but at this very moment, at this very second on this very day - she was willing to throw it all away just for a bit of fun. currently, during these four days, she was the most fertile of her season, so it was no doubt that if she even tried she would end up with a couple of pups.
before she could even think to turn around there he was. he had to be the most perfect image she had seen in a while, the looks, the figure and the coat. he was simply stunning. as she trotted at an even pace, her rump moving from one side to the other as she switched her weight from left to right. paws were numb at this moment, for the heat of the ground could have burnt hole in them. what was a dog of his sort doing near the court house? allie was stumped herself. but never the less, she decided to trot along to meet the canine, her tail raised so he could scent her. tht was just the type of dog allie was. males turned their heads, raising their noses but the female could have cared less.
her only motive at this moment was to strike up a conversation with this male, and then to maybe have a quick bang. it had been, what? five days? horrible. that was something to be embarrassed of. but, before she was able to reach this canine, she was stopped. a couple of dogs stood in front of her small frame, her back coat now burning in the heat. none of them were descent, though. and she let out a groan, sitting her ass on the sweltering ground. the scent of heat filled the air and the canines licked their chops in a hungry way. moving around uncomfortably, she stood up and then let out a snarl, eyes flickering as one of the three ran to where she was sitting, sniffing the pavement. "Pervs."
one of the males trotted after her, nose to her tail while she jumped away, lips raised to reveal her pink gums and then clean white teeth. the hound dog didn't leave though, and then an idea popped in her head. trotting quickly to the red male she sat next to the border collie and then licked him on the cheek. the other dog stopping in his track. "thats right, you leave." she snarled as she dog turned around and then allie backed away from the male. "um. sorry about that." she mumbled, a giggle in her tone.
Second chances won't leave you alone, allie. She was always the one, damien. No such thing as too young, 664 words. The future is just a few heartbeats away from disaster, none of it's really important. haha except for the end.

Damian paused his thoughts as he caught scent of a smell that was all too familiar to him. A female, and coming in this direction. He glanced up from staring at the pavement long enough to make eye contact with what appeared to be a lithe Flat-Coated Retriever. Along with her, he saw several vile-looking creatures following behind her with their tongues hanging out in a most unappealing fashion. She was in heat; There was no doubt about that. What with the way she sat on the pavement in a huff and the irritable look in her eye. Damian was wary; He was never particularly skilled at understanding the fair gender, though he was quite aware that they could be highly unpredictable at this time of year.
A second later and his assumptions were proven correct as the female bounded up the steps and gave him a lick on the cheek without warning. Damian jumped back as though electrocuted; Though he had heard stories, that was hardly what he expected! And she seemed such a fine creature, as though she were above such public scenes of indecency. "Um. Sorry about that." she mumbled with a small laugh, Damian's ears perking to hear her thickly Western accent. His eyebrows arched skyward in a rather airy yet questioning stare, as though he were looking down upon her, yet not. He glanced at the concrete below his paws, contemplating whether to reply or not, and if he should, what should he say? His thoughts were running very quickly, though it was barely visible that he had a rather concerned face; Damian Queens was not one to show emotions, mind you.
Finally, with a brief intake of breath, Damian settled on a response. Keeping his face rather blank but kind, he spoke. "It is quite acceptable, m'lady, as I infer that you were simply seeking an escape from such an awkward position." He said, his thick Kent dialect keeping his pronunciation sharp but with his own twist of rolled "r"'s lending him a unique voice. He felt it rude to be unpleasant to the lady, although he was still quite cautious and felt eager to leave shortly as the opposite gender was one of the few things he feared. And rightly so, h might add! After such a display as that, he would assume most males gone out of their minds in consternation. It was, in all sense of the word to him, a conundrum. The fair sex was one of the few mysteries he found himself unable to solve. And it disturbed him deeply. Thus the reason why he chose not to associate himself with females whenever he was able to. They were simply much too confusing and frightening.
Play a little tune, Damian Witness to the crime scene, Allie Bring forth the evidence, 466 Words And prosecute the suspect, Gack! So so so sorry it took this long. My mom abducted my laptop for hours on end. D:
